Mr. Quinn and Hand Sanitizer Usage.

We at “I Know Good Food” have to report our founder credo on the use of Hand Sanitizer. He said that we all must use this product when we go to restaurants, when we visit at his home, and to use daily in our lives. He loves the smell of this product as he wishes that everyone and everything could have that smell.

We hope that all our readers will consider the use of this product on a daily basis, as for our founder wants a germ free world. Let us all try to consider his request seriously!

I know this is not food related, but we want our readers to get to know our founder and this is a Human Interest story about him.

Joe’s Dairy Barn, Rt. 82 Hopewell Junction, New York

SPRING HAS ARRIVED AS JOE’S IS OPEN!

I know that March 20th is the official first day of spring. However, for us at “I Know Good Food” has always celebrated our welcoming of spring with the reopening of our Favorite Ice Cream Stand, Joe’s.

We made our official first visit of the 2009 season on Monday March 16th. We had the following; Soft Serve Vanilla in a cup and a Hot Fudge Sunday. We are happy to inform our readers that the Soft Service Ice Cream was as  always smooth and creamy. The owners have not skimped on the quality of their Soft Serve Ice Cream.  In a time when most things are made with less Joe’s is MORE!!

Saint Patrick’s Day Celebration at the Quinn Residents

HAPPY SAINT PATRICK'S DAY!

On Monday March 16, 2009, some of the staff at “I Know Good Food” got together at the Quinn residents for the traditional Corned Beef and Cabbage Dinner. Our founder’s wife prepared the food.  It was the traditional Corned Beef and Cabbage dinner with Carrots and Mashed Potatoes. Our leader, Mr. Quinn rated the Entire dinner as a 9.8 (see video below). We want to make mention that Karen makes a very special drink for the celebration of Saints Patrick’s Day; she calls it Her Special Irish Cream (see Pictures below). All I can say is that we love it when she makes it. We are looking forward to next year so we may have this wonderful beverage again.

We also had some Verdi Asti Spumante with dinner.

We at “I Know Good Food” wish everyone a fun filled and safe Saint Patrick’s Day!

S & J Deli Superette, Taconic Plaza Hopwell Jct. NY Revisited!

We at "I Know Good Food" had Lunch on March 09, 2009 at the home of Frank and Louis. Mr. and Mrs. Quinn came over with a Italian Combo Wedge, Sausage and Peppers Wedge, and a Quart of their homemade Potato Salad.

The Italian Combo was very good, we loved the meats and the dressing that was used in that sandwich. The Sausage and Pepper wedge was also good but I heard our founder say that he wanted it Parmigiana. He said his wife had gotten the wrong one. I am sorry to report that the Potato Salad was not to our founders liking. This deli is one of the finest in our area, but they have lost there touch making the Potato Salad. We hope that S&J Deli Superette will go back to making it the way our founder liked it.

Below is some pictures of the food in question.
